Heritage
This collection of lino prints was created with the intention of illustrating my heritage as a Japanese-Canadian. Each print was modelled after traditional Japanese woodblock prints but imbued with distinctly Canadian attributes.
A True Canadian
The first print in this collection is meant to be a self portrait in which I am cradling three Tim Hortons coffee’s, nothing is more distinctly Canadian.

Coloured lino prints
The three images below are the scanned lino prints digitally coloured using photoshop. I coloured each image with the chalk brush in order to imitate the uneven colours that are characteristic of traditional Japanese woodblock prints
